The Merry Cat, is a husband and wife team that has been in business for over 13 years.
My husband (Alex) is the navigator, trail blazer, salesman half, and me (Mary) I'm the artist, photographer, computer tech half of the business.
I am a self-taught Artist, with OCD "Obsessive Creating
Disorder."
My passion for creating art goes all the way back to my childhood, and my Grandmother, an artist in her own right,was a very big influence for me.
I've always thought of Art as a form of illusion, capturing air and
giving it form, and life.
Acrylics for over a decade was my medium of choice.
Then I discovered computers, photography, and the digital darkroom and a whole new world opened up to me. The
illusions that are created with these mediums could be grander, more alive. And With the invent of the internet the connectivity between art, artist and viewer becomes a stronger bond.
